Family Tree

It all begins with Andrés Marcenaro(Great Great Great Great Grandfather) born 1790's who married María Bisso. They lived in Genoa, Italy. That is all the information I have on them. They had a son Santiago Marcenaro Bisso. I do not know if they had other children.

Santiago Marcenaro Bisso (Great Great Great Grandfather) was born in Genoa, Italy in 1816 and came to Peru in 1841. Married in November of 1851 in the Archdiocese of Lima with Rose Catalina Sotomayor Pomiano. According to the traditions of Ricardo Palm (A book that counts histories of the families of Lima) they where owners of a candy shop in Jirón de la Unión (Principle Street in the center of Lima where the most important business resided).

Santiago Marcenaro Bisso and Rose Catalina Sotomayor Pomiano had three children:

Andrés Santiago Marcenaro Sotomayor (Great Great Grandfather) Beatriz Marcenaro Sotomayor and Avelina Marcenaro Sotomayor. Andrés Santiago Marcenaro Sotomayor married María Luisa Vargas Rivas.

Andrés Santiago Marcenaro Sotomayor and María Luis Vargas Rivas had four children:

Luis Felipe Marcenaro Vargas (my Great Grandfather), Carlos Marcenaro Vargas, Rose Catalina Marcenaro Vargas and Carmen
Marcenaro Vargas. The two women never married.

Luis Felipe Marcenaro Vargas married María Zoila Romero Carbajal had two children: Santiago Marcenaro Romero (my
Grandfather) and Luis Felipe Marcenaro Romero (That lives in Argentina).

Santiago Marcenaro Romero (my Grandfather), born February 2, 1913. He was the ambassador from Peru to Italy, India, Denmark,
Guatemala and US to name a few. Married Elisa Nancy Frers Cortes (Argentina). They had three children: Santiago Luis Marcenaro
Frers (My father, born Genoa, Italy April 8, 1939), Osvaldo Raul Marcenaro Frers (Born Lima, Peru January 18, 1942 and died 1954, horsing accident) and
Ricardo Marcenaro Frers (My Uncle, born December 30, 1946; Lima, Peru).

Santiago Luis Marcenaro Frers first marriage, children: Elizabeth Marcenaro (born in Denmark 8 Jan 1959). Marries Matilda (May
20, 1963; Lima, Peru. They have Osvaldo Marcenaro (1966; Lima, Peru)

Ricardo Marcenaro Frers marries Rosa Goldfarb (August 27,1972; Ann Arbor, Michigan). Children: Harold Marcenaro Goldfarb
(born November 2, 1973; Lima, Peru) and Eliana Marcenaro Goldfarb (May 4, 1975; Lima, Peru).

Osvaldo Marcenaro marries Ellen Eisabeth (daughter of Gerhard Walter Falk and his wife May Beth Bolin) Nov 16 2009. Children are
Houston James Marcenaro and Lila Claire Marcenaro.
